Anna May (Naso) Barich, 81, passed away peacefully on March 13th, 2025, at Henry Ford Hospital in Warren, Michigan, surrounded by loved ones.
Anna May was born on July 15, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Fraser High School. Following her high school education, she met Emerick Henry Barich, whom she married after two yearsof courtship. They remained married for 34 years until his passing in 1998. The couple began expanding their family two years later. In October 1966, she gave birth to their daughter, Lisa Ann, followed by their son, Emerick Keith, approximately one year later. Anna dedicated the next 20 years to raising her family in Sterling Heights, MI, spending numerous hours driving her children to various dance and sporting events. During this time, she formed lasting friendships that continued well beyond her children's active years.
Anna had a passion for traveling, often going on cruises with her husband, Emerick (commonly known as Buddy), to various destinations around the world. She enjoyed playing cards, watching sports, and taking spontaneous trips to the casino. Professionally, Anna worked as an office manager and manager at Burlington Coat Factory and Syms. She valued spending time and traveling with her daughter and granddaughter, Angelica, whom she adored, and held a deep affection for her other granddaughter, Emma, who was born a decade after Angelica.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband Emerick, and her sister-in-law Marcia.
Anna May Barich is remembered by her family and friends, including her daughter Lisa Ann Barich-Kwolek (Collin), her son Emerick Keith Barich, her sister-in-law Patricia Wieczorek (Richard), her granddaughters Angelica (Omeed) and Emma, and her great-granddaughters Millie and Piper Annalise, who was named after her.
A life celebration will be planned for a future date.
