Annie Ruth Usher

Annie Ruth Usher, a beloved matriarch and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025, at the age of 91, in Warren, Michigan. Born on August 21, 1933, in Waverly, Alabama, Annie lived a life full of love, joy, and adventurous spirit.

She was the devoted widow of Will Usher Sr. and is survived by her children Leroy (Ruth), Betty Ann (Charles), Denise, Will Jr., Delores (Matt), Gloria, and Sandra. Annie's legacy continues through her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will forever hold dear the many memories and valuable lessons their grandmother imparted.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents, Alma and Jimmie Lee Caldwell Milton, as well as her siblings Johnnie, Billy, and Dorice. Their memories remain an integral part of her story, adding to the rich tapestry of her life.

Annie’s passions were diverse and reflective of her vibrant character. She found immense joy in attending plays, musicals, and concerts, always bringing enthusiasm and excitement to experiences that allowed artistry and creativity to flourish. An avid boater, she cherished the time spent on the water, where she embraced the beauty of nature and the serenity it offered. Her love for travel took her to various places, expanding her horizons and enriching her life experiences. With a flair for the lively, her favorite color was red, symbolizing her spirited personality.

The family expresses special gratitude to Amara Hospice, Father Murray Nursing Home, and Henry Ford Warren Hospital for their compassionate care during her later years. A heartfelt thanks is also extended to her nieces, Debbie and Jackie Usher, along with Kassinda Usher whose support and love meant the world to her.
