Chesterfield, Michigan

Anthony Victor, of Chesterfield, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on April 12, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, Anthony led a long and fulfilling life marked by love, achievement, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends.

The proud son of Italian immigrants—his father arriving in America in 1921 and his mother in 1928—Anthony’s story reflects the tenacity and vibrant heritage of his family. Raised in Detroit, Anthony graduated from St Joseph High School in 1952. The friendships he formed there endured throughout his lifetime, sustained by monthly lunches that became cherished traditions among him and his classmates.

Anthony’s pursuit of knowledge led him to the University of Detroit, where he studied engineering and earned his bachelor’s degree in 1956. This academic achievement paved the way for his esteemed career at Chrysler Missile Division. Anthony began his professional life there after graduation and, through dedication and hard work, built a successful career until his retirement from Chrysler in 1989.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Anthony was a man of many passions. He was known for his love of golf, fishing, and playing cards—activities that not only provided him with enjoyment but also opportunities to share laughter and camaraderie with others. Trips to casinos and buffets were favorite pastimes, but nothing compared to the joy he found in supporting his grandchildren at their sporting events and recitals. Time spent visiting with his great-grandchildren brought a special warmth and happiness to his later years.

Anthony’s character was illuminated by his kindness, his ability to bring levity to serious moments, and his unfailing friendliness. He was that rare individual who could put everyone at ease, his unique sense of humor offering comfort and connection to all who knew him. His presence will be sorely missed, but his legacy endures in the hearts and memories of those fortunate enough to have shared in his life.

Anthony leaves behind a loving family who were the center of his world. He is survived by his children, Mark (Ann) Victor, Cathie (Andy) Victor, John Victor, and Janice Victor; his grandchildren, Anthony, Joe, Matt, Jimmy, Nick, Timmy, Katie, and Danny; and his great-grandchildren, Jesse, Palmer, Baker, Finlay, Isla, and Mason. He is also survived by his sister, Carmela Veneri, and his brother, Mario (Kathy) Ignagni. Each of them carries forward the values, humor, and love that Anthony so generously shared.

Anthony Victor’s life was a testament to endurance, generosity, and joy. His memory lives on in his family, friends, and in the countless lives he touched with his kindness and humor.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
