Arlinda Pringle

January 12, 1948 — July 31, 2025

Roseville, Michigan

Arlinda Pringle Sr. was born on January 12, 1948 in Hattiesburg, MS to the union of Ernest and Louberta Whitsett (both deceased). Arlinda was educated in the Hattiesburg Public School system, and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She later moved to Detroit, where she married the late Johnny Pringle. To this union, four children were born.

Arlinda started working as a nursing assistant soon after she arrived in Detroit. She then worked at Chrysler and retired after 30 years of diligent service. Arlinda enjoyed reading her bible daily. During her retirement, she also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as family and friends. Her hobbies included cooking large meals, tending to her garden, traveling and shopping.

She attended Grace Christian Church until her death. Arlinda leaves many to cherish her memory, including her children: Johnny Pringle Jr. (Pamela), Gloria Kincaide (John) and Arlinda John Pringle. She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Anthony Jerome Pringle.

She was also preceded in death by six siblings and grandchildren Jazzmine Pringle and Claude L. Pringle. Arlinda leaves behind her brothers Charles and Ernest Jr. (Shirley), and sisters Mary, Shirley and Bettie.

In addition, she is survived by her loving grandchildren: Franceska, Claudette, Devin, Jayla, Laila, Devin Jr., Jonai, Maison, Brandon Sr. (Mya), Bryson, Noa, Brandon Jr., Brayden, Tori, Defonza Jr., Donovan, Tanisha and Anthony Jr.

Finally, she leaves behind many nieces and nephews, friends, and a host of many other relatives too numerous to mention here.
