Barbara Ann LaFleur, née Bolter, a devoted mother, grandmother, and beloved member of the Clinton Township community, peacefully passed away on May 24, 2026, in Clinton Township, Michigan. Born on February 1, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, Barbara’s life was marked by steadfast dedication to her family, her work, and her faith.
Barbara was a proud graduate of St. Catherine High School in Detroit, where she laid the foundation for her lifelong commitment to hard work and community values. She honored this commitment through her career at the Chrysler Company Mopar Division in Center Line, Michigan, where she was respected by colleagues and friends alike for her diligence and unwavering integrity.
On February 4, 1956, Barbara married Peter LaFleur at St. Margaret Mary’s Church in Detroit, Michigan. Together, they shared many years of marriage until Peter’s passing. Barbara was the cherished daughter of the late Edward and Helen Bolter, whose memory she held dear throughout her life.
Barbara’s lasting legacy is most beautifully reflected in her large, loving family. She was the devoted mother of four children: David LaFleur (Deborah), Deborah King, Donald LaFleur (Mary), and Diane LaPinta (Joe). Her profound love extended to her eight grandchildren—David LaFleur, Daniele Stocks (Josh), Robert King (Danielle), Frank King (Taylor), Blair LaFleur, Isabella Creagh (Colin), Jack LaPinta, and Sophia LaPinta—and her five great-grandchildren, Charlotte Stocks, Leo Stocks, Connor King, and Hayes and Della Creagh. She also leaves behind a legacy of love for her newest great-grandchild, who is joyfully expected to arrive in June 2026.Throughout her life, Barbara was a pillar of strength and kindness to all who knew her, constantly nurturing the bonds that united her family.
In honoring her memory, a Mass will be held at St. Louis Catholic Parish, located at 24415 Crocker Blvd, Clinton Township, MI 48036, on June 22, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM. The service will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and all who knew Barbara to celebrate her life, her faith, and the indelible impact she left upon those blessed to have known her.
Barbara Ann LaFleur’s steadfast devotion to her family, her career, and her faith remain a shining example for all who follow her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for the kindness she showed and the lives she touched. May she rest in peace.
