Benjamin Michael Kable, "Ben" or "BK", age 22, died January 1, 2023, suddenly and tragically due to a hit-and-run accident. Ben was born March 10, 2000, at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan the son of Dr. Michael Kable and Stacey (nee: Doetsch) Kable.
Ben was raised in Rochester Hills, Michigan, where he attended Hampton Elementary School, followed by Reuther Middle School, and then eventually graduated from Rochester High School with the class of 2018. Following high school, Ben went on to attend Michigan State University where he worked toward his electrical engineering degree. He nonetheless maintained an unbreakable bond with his circle of friends from Arcadia Park and Rochester High School.
Ben's mother Stacey described her son as the typical boy growing up⦠however; when Ben found something that interested him he became passionate and pursued his interest to the fullest. Whether it was "frogging" for frogs and tadpoles at "Turtle Rock", aka Arcadia Park, or playing Army battles with all his little army soldiers, Ben went all in.
As Ben grew older his interests changed to sports, including football in Middle School and High School, along with his passion for wrestling all throughout high school. The passion for wrestling even continued at home where he would throw his little sister Sarah "Chica" across the room every chance he could, or place any family member in a headlock.
Additionally Ben followed in his father's footsteps with their mutual love of the outdoors. Ben loved to hunt, shoot guns, ice fish and fish for pike, bass, sunfish, and even pursued Great Lakes salmon and muskies on Lake St. Clair aboard his dad's boat. Ben cherished his time and trips to the family's northern Michigan cottage and Minnesota. The family traveled extensively together visiting many locations including Jamaica, Mexico, Florida, and many fishing trips to northern Michigan and Canada.
Ben was a very intelligent young man who was fluent in German and a very skilled online gamer. His sister Sarah always knew when Ben was fully engaged online within a game, he could be heard screaming into his headset at the other online gamers. During his time in college Ben also found himself immersed in home forging or Blacksmithing. This new hobby created a lot of loud banging in the garage for his family to enjoy! Ben left an indelible mark upon everyone he met and will be forever missed.
Benjamin Kable is survived by his beloved parents Michael and Stacey Kable, along with his dear siblings, Lindsey (Marko) Armour, Pat Kable, Matthew Kable, Emily Kable, and Sarah Kable.
