Bernadine Sabina Pionk

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bernadine S. Pionk, affectionately known as “Ba” by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who left this world on December 25, 2025.

Born on August 22, 1937, to Walter and Lillian David, Bernadine devoted her life to her family and the community. She was married to Elmer Pionk (deceased), and together they lovingly raised five children.

Bernadine was more than a devoted wife and mother; she was an integral part of her children's lives, supporting them in every way possible. She dedicated many years to the Roseville Public Schools, where she worked until her retirement. In her personal time, Bernadine found joy in golfing, playing cards, and visiting the casino—activities that brought her much happiness.

She is survived by her children: Therese (Dante) Vacca, Patrice Pionk, Denise (Dan) Neych, David Pionk, and Christopher Pionk. Bernadine also leaves behind a cherished legacy in her grandchildren: Brandon (Karen) Vacca, Sarah (Mike) Stone, Rachel Vacca, Ashley (Jacob) Dlugosz, Daniel Neych, Miranda Pionk, and Adam Pionk. Her great-grandchildren Charlotte, Leo, Clare, Sammy, Owen, and Ella will fondly remember the warmth and love she showered upon them.

In addition to her children and grandchildren, Bernadine is also survived by her sister, Lorraine Granger.

A Celebration of Life will take place on May 30, 2026. As we remember Bernadine, we acknowledge the love she gave and the impact she had on those fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit will continue to live on through her family and friends.
