Craig Allen Carlson

Craig Allen Carlson passed away on March 22, 2026. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Marylou and Jack Carlson. Craig is lovingly remembered by his life partner, Diane Choike Jansen, his sister Debbie Jackson (Chet), brother Bob Carlson (Nancy), nephew Matthew Carlson (Kristen), nieces Jennifer Blood (Dave) and Stephanie Reinke (Kevin), as well as six great-nephews and one great-niece.

A graduate of Denby High School in Detroit in 1976, Craig furthered his education at the Detroit Engineering Institute, where he earned a degree in design. Throughout his career, he was recognized for his creativity and innovation, earning several patents.

Craig had a passion for travel, often visiting destinations such as Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Dallas. He was a devoted fan of Detroit sports teams and had a particular love for cars. Known for his kind and gentle nature, he was cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial mass to celebrate Craig’s life will be held at St. Thecla Church in Clinton Township on April 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. His family invites all who knew him to join in honoring his memory and legacy.
