Daisy Elizabeth Kurzynski

Feb 25, 1941 — Oct 4, 2026

St. Clair Shores, Michigan

Daisy Elizabeth Kurzynski, known lovingly as Gramma Daisy and simply Liz to many who adored her, passed away peacefully at the age of 85. A longtime resident of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, Daisy lived a full and generous life, touching countless hearts along the way.

Born on February 25, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, to Edna J. and Truman Kendall Wills, Daisy attended St. Joan of Arc Catholic Grade School and St. Ambrose Catholic High School. She continued her education in insurance at Michigan State University.

Daisy began her career in the late 1960’s at Macomb Underwriters before fulfilling her goal of owning her own business in 1981, opening the Elizabeth Cosentino Insurance Agency. Throughout her career, she touched many lives through her kindness and unwavering dedication to providing exceptional service to her clients, family, and friends.

Her love of music and dance brought her together with her beloved husband, Martin. They met while learning country line dancing and went on to become members of the Hooked-On-Country Dance Team, where they cherished performing at local festivals and community events.

At home, Daisy loved spending time in the garden with Martin, preparing delicious meals for her family—including her famous Chicken Milanese—and caring for her greatgrandchildren whenever asked. Whenever invited to a family gathering, her immediate response was always, "What can I bring? How about the salad?" She possessed a deep desire to serve others and ensured her loved ones always had a generous supply of her beloved Daisy Salad Dressing.

Daisy is survived by her husband, Martin; her children, Tracy Palermino-Handlon (Matthew) and Kathleen Manning; seven grandsons: Ryan Palermino (Jackie), Kyle Palermino (Danielle), Alexander Manning, Jacob Manning, Chad Manning, Evan Manning, and Drew Hackett (Kailey); eight great-grandchildren: Dominic, Adrianna, Isabella, Kamdon, Arielle, Joel, Julianna, and Cade; her brother, Roger Wills (Diana); and many cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her late husband Joseph G. Cosentino, and her brothers Harvey Wills, Truman Wills, and Orville Wills. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on November 3, 2026, at St. Ambrose Parish, Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan. Gathering at 10:00 AM with Mass at 11:00 AM
