Daniel Robert Inman, of Chesterfield Township, Michigan, passed away at home on August 5th, 2025 after a year-long battle with glioblastoma.
Danny grew up in Harrison Township and graduated from L’Anse Creuse High School in 1983.
He earned an Associates Degree in Accounting from Macomb Community College and worked many part time jobs in addition to being a stay-at-home dad to help raise his family.
In 1993, he married Deborah Ann Malchie (also known as Aibhilín ní Dhomhnaill), and they raised two children, Joshua and Corben (Anya). Joshua is a student studying Health Information Systems. Corben is a Chemist working in England with a goal of working as a Forensic Scientist.
Danny and Debby volunteered many hours with the Scouts, going on trips and attending meetings as both Joshua and Corben were Scouts. In 2006 they also started teaching Archery classes to the Scouts.
Danny was a long-time member of the Society for Creative Anachronism where he was a Knight known as Tarquin the Red Jarl Ritter. Tarquin was known for his fierce fighting skills as well as his chivalric virtues. Both Danny and Debby were strong advocates for archery in their SCA group. Danny, being the creative one, was always designing fun and challenging moving targets.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 32 years, Debby, his children Joshua and Corben, his siblings, David (Mary) Inman, Mary Jo (Mike) Brass, Dianna (Joseph) Martin, Timothy (Renee) Inman, Janet Moran, Charles (Laura) Inman, and Emily (Thomas) Krause, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, David Paul Inman Sr., Mary Jo Inman, sister Patricia Clare Inman, brother Thomas Steven Inman, and nephew, Paul Joseph Inman.
A Celebration of Life service is being planned for August 23rd.
Danny’s ashes will be buried with a tree by his family at a later time.
