David was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marjorie Bland, as well as his sisters Cheryl and Barbara Lynn. Although his departure has left a void in the hearts of many, he is survived by his cousin Steve Bland, his niece Heather, his nephew Michael, and his devoted companion of 34 years, Deborah Bodell.
Throughout his life, David showed unwavering optimism and displayed tremendous courage and strength. He faced every obstacle with resilience and an unwavering spirit. David found immense joy in various hobbies such as golfing, baseball, music, and gardening. Whether he was teeing off on the green or tending to his vibrant flowers in the garden, David's enthusiasm was infectious.

He had a natural gift for storytelling which never failed to bring smiles and laughter to those fortunate enough to listen. His tales would captivate the room and leave everyone wanting more.
