It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David Harold Brown on February 4, 2025, following his long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. David was born September 6, 1955 to Harold and Bernice Brown, who raised him in a loving and nurturing home.
David is pre-deceased by his parents, and is survived by his beloved wife, Carmella; son, Michael; stepchildren, Maria Varner (Derek), Anthony Bartolone (Adriane), Ron Gorney (Danielle), and Derek Gorney (Nicole), his devoted sisters, Debbie Reilly (late Robert) and Karen Supert; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and 9 grandchildren. His legacy of dedication, kindness, and warmth will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
Growing up in Roseville, Michigan, David attended Sacred Heart later graduating from Carl Brablec High School in 1973 and proudly serving as Senior class President. David pursued his studies at Oakland University before embarking on a diverse career in sales starting with owning and operating a donut shop. He worked with distinction at several companies, including General Wine, Nokia, Brightpoint, and Plantronics, rising to senior positions and earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
David had a deep passion for golf, a keen interest in collecting wine, and a love for travel having visited 42 National Parks and many countries. He was a proud member of a close-knit group of lifelong friends known as the "Schoolboys", whose bond was shared through semi annual golf trips for over 40 years. He enjoyed an intensely competitive spirit, as was evident in his enthusiasm for golf and basketball, often a catalyst to competition, and always rising to a challenge.
David's kindness, dedication, and vibrant personality left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He was a devoted father and grandfather, a cherished member of his community, and always the life of the party, bringing joy and warmth to every gathering.
