David John Kukulski, a cherished member of his family and community, was born on April 17, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan. He passed away on July 29, 2025, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. David's journey through life was marked by his immense bravery, unwavering spirit, and an enduring commitment to those he loved.
Raised in Warren, Michigan, David made a significant impact in the lives of many. He served honorably for six years in the United States Marine Corps, proudly holding the title of Marine Veteran. His military service was a testament to his dedication and resilience, qualities that defined his character throughout his life.
Those who knew David will remember him not only for his stubbornness but also for his boundless generosity. He was the type of person who would readily give you the shirt off his back if you were in need. His fierce loyalty and loving nature endeared him to all who crossed his path. David had a distinctive way of lighting up a room with his infectious laughter and warm personality. In his memory, we are encouraged to celebrate his life with joy, sharing laughs and raising a toast, preferably with a bottle of 1800, just how he would have wanted it.
David leaves behind his beloved wife, Jacquline, who stood by him through thick and thin. He was a devoted father to his children, Matthew (Melissa), and Danielle (Jacob). His legacy lives on in the hearts of his grandchildren—Sylas, Ava, Suraya, Simon, and Alayna—who brought him immeasurable pride and happiness.
He was also a loving brother to Sue and her husband Rob, Paul, Chrissy and her husband Kurt, and Donna and her husband John. Each of them will carry with them the cherished memories created together over the years.
David was predeceased by his parents, John and Jean Kukulski, and his late sister Michelle, both of whom welcomed him into their arms once more.
As we remember David John Kukulski, let us hold onto the lessons he taught us: to face challenges head-on, to love fiercely, and to live fully. May his memory be a source of inspiration and comfort to all who knew him.
