David Wayne Myers, known affectionately as Big Dave, Harley Dave, or Safari Dave, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2025, at the age of 69. He has joined his beloved parents, John Myers and Allane Ghrist (Loomis), as well as his brothers, Mike Myers and Greg Myers, in heaven.
Dave leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his three children, David Myers Jr., Alyshia (Justin) Williamson, and Alethea (Richard) Hutchings; his brothers, Chip (Lisa) Ghrist and Marty Myers; and the lights of his life—his nine grandchildren, Justin, Kennedy, Gavin, David III, Eleanor, Dylan, Alena, Capri, and Porsche.
Dave had an incredible ability to bring joy to those around him. His contagious laugh, gift for conversation, and natural talent as a salesman made him unforgettable. He could fix anything and never shied away from a challenge. Road trips were never dull with Dave behind the wheel—his signature dashboard drumming and love for Journey, Bob Seger, and Pink Floyd made every ride an adventure.
Above all, Dave was a devoted Papa. Whether teaching his grandchildren to ride a bike, taking them for ice cream, or simply spending time with them, he made every moment special. His love for his grandchildren knew no bounds, and his presence will be deeply missed.
Dave’s legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
