A proud native of rural Kentucky, Donald carried the values of his upbringing with him throughout his life—a deep commitment to hard work, humility, and kindness. These qualities became hallmarks of his character, shaping both his personal relationships and his long-standing professional career. Donald dedicated many years to Ford Motor Company, where he worked in production before retiring. In his work, as in his personal life, he was known for his diligence and reliability, earning the respect of colleagues and supervisors alike.

Beyond his career, Donald's greatest legacy is found within his family. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Melissa Reynolds, Michael Hunter, Glen Hunter, Amanda Varner, and Aaron Minda. Donald’s life was further graced by his grandchildren—Ryan, Hailie, Hanna, Hayden, Logan, and Charleigh—who brought him immense pride and joy. His guidance and gentle encouragement left a lasting impact on each generation of his family.

Donald is also survived by his sister, Roberta Thompson; his brother, Arley Hunter; and his sisters-in-law, Dolly Hunter and Jean Hunter. Extended family played a cherished role in his life, including his brothers-in-law, Bill Conn and Larry Samons, and dear friends John and Janet Bowers, whose friendship spanned many years.

In remembering Donald, we also honor those who went before him: his beloved wife, Robin Phipps Hunter; his sisters, Wanda Conn and Helen Samons; his brother, Gordon Hunter; and his brother-in-law, Elige Thompson. Their memories remain close within the hearts of those left behind.
