Elaine Marie Morrow, born June 20, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan, peacefully passed away on July 30, 2024. She was a woman of remarkable strength and kindness, leaving behind a beautiful legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Elaine's life was a tapestry of love and family. Graduating from Sacred Heart High School, Roseville, in 1960, she embarked on a journey that was dedicated to caring for her loved ones. Elaine completed her associate’s degree in the early 1990s before pursuing successful careers in the medical and financial industries.
Known for her adventurous spirit and warm personality, Elaine was always ready for travel and new experiences. She never met a stranger; she could strike up a conversation with anyone. Her creativity was evident, from DIY projects to sewing to baking… she added a unique twist to everything she did. Elaine found joy in simple moments spent reading, playing cards and enjoying games with family and friends. Pinochle, Euchre and Yahtzee were among her favorites and she was quite the competitor.
One of Elaine's proudest accomplishments was being "Golden Grams" or "G'ma" to her grandchildren. She treasured every moment spent with them, whether it was watching tv, going to the movies, dining out, game night, long chats on the phone, or simply sharing snacks around the table. Her love for her family knew no bounds.
Elaine is survived by her children Suzanne (Tim) Genaw, Larry (Renee) Morrow, Stephanie (Michael, Sr.) Johnson, and Sharron (Brian) Carey; grandchildren Jessica (Mark), Rachel (Benjamin), Michael, Jr., Adam, Nicholas, and Megan; siblings Judy (Mario), Mary (John), and Barb (Steven). She is now reunited with her loving partner of over 25 years, Ron Popchock; her parents Leo and Marie Evans; and her siblings and their spouses Ernie (Angie), Norb (Bonnie), Steve, Donnie, and Frank.
Elaine Marie Morrow will be remembered for her unwavering love and infectious spirit that touched the lives of all who had the honor of knowing her. May she rest in peace knowing that her love will forever live in the hearts of those she held dear.
