Everett William Esterberg

Everett William Esterberg, a beloved member of the Warren community, passed away on July 6, 2026, at the age of 86. Born in Ely, Minnesota, on June 25, 1940, to Aune and Werner Esterberg, Everett led a life dedicated to education and family.

A proud alumnus of the University of Minnesota in Duluth, Everett earned his Vocational Education teaching degree, beginning his career in Detroit. His passion for teaching found a long-term home at East Detroit High School, where he worked for 38 years, serving as the Vocational Education Administrator for the last decade. He further enriched his knowledge with a Master's Degree from Wayne State University.

Everett's life was filled with love and partnership. He was married to his first wife, Joyce Redd, with whom he had two children. For over 46 years, Everett shared his life journey with his second wife, Cassandra, who survives him.

Everett is also survived by his children, Brian Esterberg and Kristin Deceuninck; stepchildren Anna Jones and Nic Grande; and his cherished grandson, Chandler Deceuninck. His legacy continues through his brothers, Warner (Donna), Allan (Carole), Norman (Carolyn), Larry, and Dean (Jane), along with many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother, Warren (Laura).

A memorial service in Everett’s honor will be held later in Ely, Minnesota, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his remarkable life.
