Frank McBee Jr., a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, peacefully passed away on February 6, 2025, in West Bloomfield, Michigan, at the age of 86. Born on August 22, 1938, in Philippi, West Virginia, Frank lived a life characterized by hard work, dedication, and a deep love for his family.

As a carpenter who owned and operated McBee Builders, Frank was exceptionally proud of his craft. He put his heart and soul into every project, showcasing not just his skills, but his commitment to providing a better life for his family. His work was not merely a job; it was his passion and a source of immense pride, where he often found joy in an honest day’s labor. Those fortunate enough to know him appreciated his outgoing and social nature. Frank had a unique ability to light up a room and make people feel at ease; everyone loved being around him.

Family was of paramount importance to Frank. He dedicated his life to support them, and his generosity extended beyond just his immediate kin, often performed quietly and unassumingly. Frank was unapologetically himself—described as notoriously tough to work for, yet he would do anything for the people he loved. He could make anyone laugh, leaving behind lasting memories of joy and camaraderie.

In addition to his work, Frank enjoyed watching Nascar and cherished attending his grandson Austin’s football and baseball games, taking immense pride in his family's achievements. He also had a fondness for classic cars; one of his proudest accomplishments was buying his son Mickey a 1969 Camaro and restoring it together, later on it was actually rebuilt again in memory of Mickey. Reflecting the values of hard work and resilience that embodied the American Dream, Frank overcame life’s challenges and built an amazing life for himself and his family.

Frank's later years were marked by a love for returning to his roots in West Virginia, where he found joy in witnessing the changing seasons, particularly the colorful autumns he cherished. Though travel wasn’t a priority for him, these moments spent at home were precious and brought him fulfillment.

He leaves behind a loving family who will forever miss him, including his daughter Terri Goniwiecha (Craig); sister Annette; stepbrother Roger; grandson Austin McBee (Noelle); granddaughters Shannon, Callie, and Delanie; and significant other Linda Bolog; . Frank is preceded in death by his cherished son, Mickey, who passed away in 2011, and his parents, Frank and Lucille McBee.

Frank McBee’s legacy of hard work, unwavering dedication, and love for his family will continue to inspire those who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, yet he will remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of being touched by his remarkable life.
