Gary Dean Moore, age 67, a longtime resident of Sterling Heights, Michigan passed away October 6th 2012, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Gary was born August 14th 1945 in Mount Clemens, Michigan the son of the late Leland V. Moore and the late Helen M. (nee: Holtz) Moore. He was raised in Mount Clemens and later married the love of his life Joan Paulus on April 17th 1971 in Mt. Clemens. Gary was a retired United States Navy man and later worked for Forming Technologies for 25 years as a quality inspector, prior to his work at Forming Technologies Gary worked for Chatham Grocery Wharehouse in Roseville.
When Gary was not working he lived for family and fishing... He loved the water and was a country boy at heart. Gary loved listening to country music and watching PBR (Professional Bull Riding), however his proudest and greatest achievements were witnessing his children and grandchildren grow and mature.
Gary is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Joan; his loving daughters Shannon (Jeff) Pini, Carrie (Rob) Coffie and Jody (Jay) Regan; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey and Kyleigh Pini; Olivia, Abigail, and William Coffie; and Madison, Haylie and Chase Regan. He is also survived by his siblings Leland Moore, Marlene Marginet and Charlene Moore. He was predeceased by his parents and two siblings. Gary will also be missed by his beloved dog Chloe.
Gary wished for no one to be sad at his passing and to celebrate his life with a memorial service to be held on Saturday October 20, 2012 at the Vintage House, 31816 Utica Road in Fraser from 12-4pm for family and friends.
