Giuseppe Cuozzo

June 5, 1940 — April 10, 2025

Clinton Township, Michigan

Giuseppe Cuozzo, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on April 10, 2025, in Mount Clemens, Michigan, at the age of 84. Born on June 5, 1940, in Valleluce, Italy, Giuseppe immigrated to the United States on September 6, 1956, where he dedicated his life to providing for his family through a remarkable 50-year career in precast work, known to all as one of the hardest workers in his field.

Giuseppe was a man of steadfast dedication, not only to his career but also to his family. He cherished Sunday dinners, a time when he gathered with loved ones, ensuring that he never missed an opportunity to foster familial bonds. He was a loving husband to Dorothy Cuozzo, whom he married in 1968. Together, they created a warm and nurturing home filled with love and laughter.

He is survived by his beloved children—son Joseph (Fe Cuozzo) and daughters Gina Lee (John) and Emily Cuozzo—who will carry forward his legacy of hard work and devotion. His grandchildren Franco, Vincenzo, Bellamarie, along with his cherished fur grandbaby, Marilyn, were sources of joy and pride for Giuseppe, who often referred to her as his everything.

Giuseppe nurtured not only those relationships but also his passions. He enjoyed tending to his garden, spending every warm day outdoors, and found immense pleasure in cooking. While he was known for his culinary skills, he also had a fondness for simpler pleasures like Arby's sandwiches and pizza. His active nature found expression in joyful bike rides to the park, and he took comfort in the company of westerns and Elvis movies, which filled his heart with nostalgia.

He leaves behind siblings, including his brother Giovanni Cuozzo (Ana) and his brother-in-law Anthony Facione, who will remember his laughter and spirit. Giuseppe is also preceded in death by his parents, Pietro and Erminia Cuozzo, along with his late siblings: sister Antonette Cece (Mike), who both passed away, sister Christina Facione and grandson Peter who passed away before birth. His legacy continues to live on through his family and the many lives he touched throughout his life.

A memorial service to honor Giuseppe's life will take place on May 16, 2025, at St Peter Catholic Church in Mt Clemens, Michigan, starting at 9:00 AM, followed by a gathering at the Italian American Cultural Society and Banquet Center in Clinton Township from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Giuseppe Cuozzo will be profoundly missed by all who knew him, remembered for his unwavering dedication to family, his work ethic, and his generous spirit. May he rest in peace.
