Harold George Hardy Jr

Harold Hardy was born on December 28, 1940, in Detroit, the cherished son of Harold and Emma (Bishop) Hardy. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 9, 2026.

A devoted husband for 54 wonderful years, Harold is survived by his beloved wife, Doris (DesRochers). He was a loving father to Michael and Sharon, who is married to John Scales, and a cherished uncle to many.

He is predeceased by his brothers Earl, Alvin, and James, as well as his sister Mary Cipelle.

Harold served proudly as a Medic and Pharmacist in the United States Army before joining the workforce. For 57 years, Harold proudly served as a member of Ironworkers Local 25. He had a passion for fishing and enjoyed collecting and selling antique tools. His love for garage sales and flea markets brought joy into his life and the lives of those around him.

A celebration of Harold's life will take place on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Buddy's Pizza, located at 45841 Hayes Rd, Shelby Township, MI 48315, from 1 PM to 3 PM. The family warmly invites everyone to honor Harold by wearing Hawaiian prints and/or yellow shirts, celebrating the vibrant spirit he shared with all.

Harold's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
