Heidi Marie Bayer

Heidi wanted everyone to know she loved her life!

Heidi Marie Bayer was born August 26,1960 and passed away Oct. 11, 2026. Her close family of brothers and sisters, the extensive Bayer clan, the Leslie, Moore & Nash families that include grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and greats plus so many friends, too many to count will miss her endlessly.

She was the Queen of Fun. Heidi’s family & friends were lucky to know her generosity and lively spirit always ready to throw a party, organize an event, or contribute her time and cookies without fail. She spread her happiness around and welcomed many into her world effortlessly.

It’s hard to imagine Heidi being happier than when she was at her “Happy House” in Florida. She created a neat place to get away from Michigan winters, opening it up to friends to join her on the beach or by the pool in her winter home away from Michigan home. Thousands of friends have visited “The Woodshed” up north in the Upper Peninsula property, welcomed by Heidi with the bonfire stacked, canoe set by the lake, the fridge full, and games at the ready. She made everyone feel welcome as strove to be a native “Yoopper hostess.”

Heidi first married Gary Moore and successfully managed their own business together. She found the Love of her life in Bob Leslie who cared and pampered her. It’s easy to imagine them cruising down the skyway in an open top fabulous ride together now.

Recently moved back to her hometown, New Baltimore, MI, Heidi has been keeping up some long-family traditions of helping the Lions Club, Goodfellows, and joining the Civic Club. She was a favored Girl Scout troop leader and though she didn’t have her own children, she was the best Aunt, and even prouder Great Aunt, and “Oma” as a Grandmother.

Heidi - we will always miss your smiles and shared happiness.

A Celebration of Heidi will take place on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, from 5:00 – 8:00pm at Zuccaro Banquets & Catering, 46601 Gratiot, Chesterfield, MI 48051
