Ila Blanche Harvey

Ila Blanche Harvey (nee; Sell), born on March 27, 1936, in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2024, in Clinton Township, Michigan. Ila's life was a testament to the enduring value of family and the joy found in simple pleasures.

For two decades, Ila dedicated herself to her role at St. John Health System, where she not only contributed to the well-being of her community but also forged meaningful connections with those around her. Her caring nature and strong work ethic were hallmarks of her character.

Above all, Ila cherished her family more than anything else. She leaves behind her five beloved children: David Harvey, Ray (Val) Harvey, Linda (Dominic) Frabotta, Edwin (Theresa) Harvey, and Tammy (Ron) Weaver. Her legacy continues through her 14 grandchildren, Erica (Shayne), Kayla, Jason, Jennifer (Kris), Evan, Vance, Dominic, Tiffany, Derick, Jordan, Emily, Danyel (Trevor), Aron, and Dayna, as well as her seven great-grandchildren: Cohen, Zoey, Nathan, Kaia, Bryan, Grayson, and Orrin.

Ila is also survived by her sister, Ruth Reinert, who will carry forward the memories of their shared experiences.

Throughout her life, Ila enjoyed baking cakes, working on puzzles, and creating crafts that she generously shared with others. These hobbies reflected her loving spirit and desire to bring happiness to those around her.

Ila was pre-deceased by her parents, Armond and Loretta Sell, and by her devoted husband, Orrin E. Harvey, Jr. and long time partner, Kenneth Labudde. She also joins in the eternal rest her three siblings, Fay Konath, Joy Roth, and Armond Sell, who preceded her in death.

Ila Blanche Harvey will be remembered for her boundless love for her family, her warm heart, and her nurturing spirit, qualities that will forever light the lives of those who knew her.
