James Earnest Dixon Jr, 81, of Hazel Park, MI, passed away at home surrounded by family on July 10, 2026.
Jim was born September 22, 1944 to James and Elizabeth Dixon in Detroit, MI. He was named after his dad. He attended Hazel Park Schools and went into the Air Force and married Diane Osantowski on September 22, 1983. He loved going to the casino and bowling with his wife. He enjoyed having cookies and milk with his daughter and going to all her sports events. He loved being outside hunting with father-in-law, brother-in-laws, grandson and nephew. He enjoyed talking sports and teaching his son-in-law new things. He loved traveling with family. He enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and Lions. He had a love for Elvis and Goofy. Above all, Jim loved doing everything with his family.
Jim is survived by his wife, Diane Dixon; and daughter Stacy (Michael) Martin, Grandson Robert (Diana) Osantowski, great grandsons, Blake, Rowen and Hunter Osantowski. Brother in laws Robert Osantowski, Gary (Joann) Osantowski, Tony Osantowski and Sister in laws Doreen Bright and Rose (Claude) Beaver and many nieces and nephews.
Jim is was preceded in death by his father and mother, James and Elizabeth Dixon; mother and father-in-law, Robert and Erma Osantowski; brother John Dixon, sister Mary and Eleanor Daughter Elizabeth Osantowski and son James Dixon and brothers-in-law, Gary Bright, Andrew Osantowski, Jim (Theresa) Brecht, Gerald Osantowski and Harry (Mary) Grifka.
He truly spending time with his grand pup Kiko Martin. He truly love being with his wife.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
