James Richard Hine

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of James Hine, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. James was born on December 18, 1958, and passed away on August 28, 2025. 

James leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Kristen. Together they created a loving family that stands as a testament to their enduring love. His legacy is carried on by his children Daniel (Amanda), Jamie (Keith), Jessica, Brittany (Kurt), Lyndsay (Billy), and Tyler (Lindsay). James was a doting grandfather to Grayson, Margo, Colton, Carson, Frankie, Aubrey, and Kai. His loss will leave a void in each of their hearts.

James never met a stranger; whether you had known him for five years or just five minutes, you'd find a friend in him who could chat with anyone. He had a passion for golf, karaoke, and a nice glass of tequila, embodying the classic man who appreciated the simple joys in life. He found his greatest happiness in the company of family and friends, whether it was rooting for his beloved sports teams—the Lions, Red Wings, and Tigers—or simply hanging out by the pool.

For over 30 years James was dedicated to his career at Ford Motor Company, where he was not just an employee but a valued member of the family. His work ethic and commitment were matched only by his passion for life outside of work.

James was a man with a great heart, immense generosity, and an unforgettable spirit. James was more than a list of his likes and the roles he played within his family. He was a man who made a significant impact on the lives of everyone he met. Although he is no longer with us, he will continue to live in our hearts, in the stories we share, and in the love, he has left behind.
