It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Patrick McGinty, who passed away on May 21, 2026, at the age of 83.
Jim was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, Navy veteran, cherished brother, and loyal friend. Known for his sense of humor and quick wit, Jim had a way of making people laugh and bringing joy to those around him. He held his Irish heritage dear, carrying it close to his heart throughout his life.
Jim proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964, a time of service he valued deeply. Following his military service, he built a successful career in the tool and die industry, where he worked until his retirement in 2009.
Jim shared a beautiful marriage of 60 years with his beloved wife, Carol, building a life centered on love, family, and lasting memories.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol, and his loving daughters: Patti (Steve) and grandson Brandon; Christine (Nick), granddaughter Mackenzie (Richard); and Colleen (Mike) and granddaughters Madeline and Abigail.
He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings, Mary, Edward, Judy (Dave), and Barbara; his one niece and four nephews; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
Jim was an avid golfer and found great enjoyment on the golf course. He also had a passion for classic cars and took great pleasure in showing his treasured vehicle at car shows, where he earned many trophies and awards. Whether spending time on the fairway, polishing his car for the next show, or sharing laughs with family and friends, Jim embraced the things he loved with pride and enthusiasm.
Above all, Jim treasured his family. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, love, and devotion that will forever be carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Jim will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
