Jean Michelle Eggart

Jeannie Michelle Eggart (Taffs), 53, passed away following a courageous fight against cancer on February 15, 2025, in Clinton Township, Michigan. 

Born on October 10, 1971, in Detroit, Michigan, Jeannie graduated from Madison High School in 1989. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Sciences from Wayne State University in 1996. With a passion for her work, she dedicated over 20 years to her career as a laboratory technologist, finding great fulfillment in her profession. 

Jeannie was known for her joyful spirit, strong will, and determination to live life to the fullest. She embraced every moment with enthusiasm and resilience, leaving a lasting impression on those who knew her. 

She is survived by her children, Emily Eggart (Jordan Underhill) and Eric Eggart; step-sons Thomas Eggart and Chris Eggart (Sarah Eggart); her mother, Ruthann Arthur; granddaughter Stella Halasz; siblings Paul Arthur (Pam Arthur), Helen Arthur (Sean Lawrence), and Michael Arthur (Darlene Arthur); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father Noel Taffs, stepfather Brian Arthur, and sister-in-law Dawn Arthur. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 21, 2025, at MRCC Union Hall, located at 23401 Mound Rd., Warren, Michigan, 48091. The gathering will take place from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM with food provided from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM. The family will also be accepting donations and flowers in the name of Jeannie.

Jeannie’s strength and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
