Jeanette Schmitt

Jeanette Schmitt, 86, peacefully passed away on February 21, 2026, in the comfort of her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Schmitt and the cherished daughter of the late Casmir and Stella Borowski. Jeanette was a devoted mother to Gary (Denise) Borowski, a proud grandmother to Marissa and Mykal (Natasha), and a loving great-grandmother to Lola Borowski.

Throughout her life, Jeanette was a strong and independent woman who overcame many challenges. She had a passion for writing and storytelling, and she dedicated a significant portion of her career to working in social work for the State of Michigan.

Jeanette will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and extended family members, all of whom carry her spirit in their hearts. Her legacy of love and strength will continue to inspire those who knew her.
