Jeri Lynne Groth

Jeri Lynne Groth, of Warren, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026, in Clinton Township. She was born on January 31, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan.

Jeri will be remembered as a woman with a kind and giving heart. She was stubborn in the way that often comes from strength, and she would help anyone in need. That caring spirit shaped both her life and the way she moved through the world, leaving a lasting impression on those who knew and loved her.

She dedicated herself to caring for others through her work as a Direct Care Provider with Hope Network, Inc., where she served for more than 25 years. Her commitment to that work reflected the compassion that was so central to who she was, and she found meaning in helping others each day.

Jeri also found joy in simple and happy moments. She loved going to outdoor concerts and watching fireworks, especially in Algonac, Michigan. She enjoyed plenty of coffee and Werther’s candies, the small comforts that became part of the memories her family and friends will always cherish.

Above all, Jeri loved her family deeply. She fought hard to remain here for her grandchildren and for those she loved most. When she grew tired, she made the difficult decision to discontinue treatment, and her family is grateful for the care of Hospice, which helped her pass peacefully and with dignity. Those who love her take comfort in imagining Jeri flying high with her mother, whom they knew as Grannie, with baby Maddie Paddie, and with all of her loved ones who went before her.

Jeri is survived by her father, Gordon Groth. She also leaves behind her children, Katie Groth, Allecia Reynolds, and Brandon (Hope) Reynolds, who were a central part of her life and love. Her memory will also be treasured by her grandchildren, Xavier, Jeremiah, Kaidence, Maddox, Natalie, Carolyn, and Wyett. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews that she held close to her heart.

She is also survived by her siblings: Tracy (Angie) Groth ; Dave Groth; Denise Strachan and her husband, Ron; and Debbie McDonough and her husband, Jeff. Each of them shared in the bonds of family that remained important throughout Jeri’s life.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Joie Rekowski, and by her brother, Marty Groth.

Jeri Lynne Groth will be remembered for her caring nature, her resilience, her love for her family, and the warmth she brought to others. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.

The family will have a private memorial at a later date.
