John Harvey Boland

John Harvey Boland, born on January 30, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on July 17, 2025, in Warren, Michigan. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

John was a man of many passions and talents. He was known for his unwavering support and help to his family, always willing to lend a hand whenever needed. He had a creative side that shone through in his hobbies; he enjoyed assembling intricate 3D wooden puzzles and took great pleasure in painting them to bring them to life. Additionally, he exhibited remarkable skill in spray painting garden statues, further showcasing his artistic flair.

Growing up, John cherished the time spent fishing and hunting with his father and friends. Those experiences were formative, though his enthusiasm for these activities waned after the passing of his father. Nevertheless, he found joy in other pursuits, especially traveling alongside his beloved wife, Donna. Together they shared a fondness for visiting lighthouses and making cherished memories at the family property in Bellaire, Michigan.

John leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted wife of 15 years, Donna (nee: Coppola). He is survived by his siblings, Ruth (late Matthew), Kaimala, and the late Beth (Wes) Harris. He was also a caring brother-in-law to Linda Coppola, Debra (late Steve) Rutellie, and Diane (Larry) Keith. As an adored uncle, he will be remembered by Elisa and Christine, along with his role as a loving stepfather to Rhonda and Brian Coppola, and his granddaughter Haille.

John’s passing follows the loss of his parents, Ralph and Patricia (nee: Radzilowski), who have preceded him in death.

After cremation, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, allowing friends and family to come together in remembrance of a kind and generous spirit. John Harvey Boland’s legacy of love and creativity will surely endure in the hearts of those he touched.
