John Mantovani, a cherished resident of Eastpointe, MI, was born on October 2, 1933, and peacefully departed from this world on January 16, 2026. He was the beloved son of Giovanna Pavan and Santino Mantovani and a treasured brother to the late Mary Mantovani.
John was a devoted husband to the late Carolyn Marie Marullo Mantovani. He took great pride in being a loving father to his children: Patrice Mantovani, Janet and Randall Sweitzer, Michael Mantovani, Karen and Paul Sahadi, and Kristen Mantovani. John’s legacy also lives on through his grandchildren, Nathaniel Sweitzer, Isaac Sweitzer, Samuel Sweitzer, Samantha Sahadi, Jacob Sahadi, Vivian Sahlaney, and Jonathan Sahlaney, as well as the precious memory of his late granddaughter, Kimberly Sahlaney.
A Funeral Mass in honor of John will be celebrated on June 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Innocents-St. Barnabas Catholic Church, located at 16359 Frazho Rd, Roseville, MI. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m.
In addition, Military Honors will be rendered on June 22, 2026, at the Great Lakes National Cemetery, situated at 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442, with a car procession leaving from the Visitor Center at 2:30 p.m.
John Mantovani will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and friends, and for the enduring impact he made on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
