Joseph Angelo Fantuzzi passed away August 8, 2024, at age 67.
Joe was born October 22, 1956, to Angelo and Josephine (Grammatico) Fantuzzi. He graduated from Berkley High School in 1974. On November 23, 1979, he married Marie (Pollard) Fantuzzi. Along with his wife, Joe raised his two children Ryan (Emina) and Lauren (Tony Schneider) in Sterling Heights, Michigan. He had four grandchildren Ava, Anthony, Arthur, and Dean. Joe is survived by his wife Marie, children Ryan and Lauren, grandchildren, sister Adele Luxa (Robert), brother Paul Fantuzzi (Claudia), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joe was employed by the Postal Service for over forty years. Joe gave rides to the elderly who could not drive. He opened him home to anyone who did not have a place to go. As a young man, Joe worked the afternoon and night shifts. Joe spent every moment that he had with his children and wife. Many friends and family considered Joe as a “second father” or “favorite uncle.” Much time was spent at Pistons games, the movies, and Gibraltar Trade Center sports card shows. Anyone who came over the house never left hungry. Joe loved feeding people. Joe’s legacy will be the kindness and generosity he showed to all who knew him. He was a great guy.
