Joseph LaMilza, aka scimunito#1, The Bull, or Mop, age 92 of Macomb Township, Michigan died April 25, 2021, at Henry Ford Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. Joseph was born August 31, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late Salvatore LaMilza and the late Marion (nee: Vitale) LaMilza.
Joe was preceded in death by his sister, Rosalie Trupiano(Angelo). He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Margaret LaMilza, nee Guzzardo, along with their six children, Salvatore LaMilza(Debra), Dominic LaMilza(Dianna), Christopher LaMilza, Stephen LaMilza(Adele), Therese Stewart(David), Bernadette Chari(Sathish). He was also survived by 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and many relatives, all of whom cherished having him in their lives. Joe was an accomplished musician, racquetball player, and overall sports enthusiast. In his children's eyes, his keyboard skills were second to none, his abilities on the racquetball court led him to state ranking in his age bracket, and his love of the Lions, Tigers, and Pistons kept him glued to the television whenever they were playing. We can all agree that Joe was quite the conversationalist, and his infectious smile always kept you engaged. He was an approachable human being, and in Margaret's words, "Joe knew everyone and was there for everyone." Joe will be missed by more people than we can imagine.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, May 13th at St. Lucy Catholic Church in St. Clair Shores. The family will receive friends and guests from 10am until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11am.
