Julian "Mitch" Rosinski

January 14, 1942 — November 19, 2015

Julian "Mitch" Rosinski age 73, died November 19, 2015 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Julian also known to family and friends as Mitch… He was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 14, 1942 the son of Rita and Mitchell Rosinski. As the story was told, he was a very mischievous boy nicknamed Mixie. His father left his mother when he was five and unfortunately his mother could not care for him by herself, therefore young Mitch was sent to foster homes for several years. Through those years, he traveled to different parts of the state returning twice to a farm in Royal Oak, a place he felt comfortable.

What was interesting about this child was how he always would tell himself that if he could hang on, life would be better in years to come. How remarkable that statement became! He was so right... as years moved on he grew up and graduated from St. Catherine's High School in Detroit the class of 1959.

Mitch would graduate high school at the age of 17; soon thereafter Edgar Geist, owner of E&E Engineering Incorporated, in Detroit, Michigan hired this young man. Little did he realize that this place "E&E" would become his home for the next forty years. Mitch's plan was to only work there for a few months until he knew what he really wanted to do. Mitch started out in the shipping department September of 1959. As the years progressed, Mitch continued to work at E&E. Then Edgar died in 1964, his son Woody Geist took over the business. Woody became a wonderful mentor, and somewhat of an older brother to Mitch. Mitch really started to understand about his role and relationship with Woody. In 1962, Mitch would marry Marilyn Nowaczyk and in 1965 she gave birth to a son, Mitchell Francis Rosinski. Years later, Mitch and Marilyn would divorce, however Mitch would find love again when Florence Sapienza entered into his life. The two married on September 30, 1978 in a backyard garden wedding with family and friends present.

Mitch continued to work at E&E Engineering along with his wife Florence, both as active members of the company business. In the later part of the 80's, Woody was ready to retire and sold the company to Mitch and another employee of the company, Matt Hirzel. They stayed partners for eleven years, doubling the company revenue. Hard work, and hard play was their motto. Both Mitch and Florence lived life to the fullest. Mitch did in fact live - Better years to come!!

In July of 1999 both Mitch and Florence decided it was time to move in another direction selling their interest in E&E. Mitch thought he would start something new, but the recession in Michigan would not allow this to happen. Mitch did not realize at the time that this would be his retirement years, however retirement it was.

Mitch learned in the 90's that he was born with one kidney, and later in 2005 Mitch became ill. In 2006, his son, Mitchell Rosinski donated a kidney to his ailing father with the operation being a success. Mitch still would struggle with other health issues in years to come, but still manage to play golf, a game he loved and travel with Florence. The last nine years of Mitch's life would be in and out of hospitals for various reasons, but always bouncing back and staying strong. Unfortunately the last three to four years became a grind and his health would deteriorate. Everyone would refer to Mitch as the "man with nine lives". His doctors were always amazed by his willingness and strength to bounce back. He fought hard but his lungs and cancer would take him on November 19, 2015.

His beloved wife Florence Rosinski of 37 years survives Julian "Mitch" Rosinski and he is the dearest father of Mitchell Rosinski. He was the dear brother of Jeff (Shirley) Rosinski. Further survivors include sister-in-Law Virginia Lund, sister-in-Law Marie Britton (Kevin), and brother-in-law Philip (Bonnie) Sapienza.
