Julius H. Deckert, known affectionately as Jules, passed away on July 31, 2024, in Clinton Township, Michigan. He was born on August 10, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan. Jules leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.

Throughout his life, Jules dedicated himself to his work. He spent many years working alongside his family Radar Tool and Manufacturing, where his expertise and passion shone through. Prior to that, he honed his skills as a model maker General Motors. His professionalism and dedication to his craft were truly admirable.

A man of many talents, Jules was beloved by his family and friends. He will be forever remembered by his loving wife of 69 years, Janis, as well as his children: Pete (Sal), James, Pamela, and Stephanie (Stanton). Jules's presence will also be deeply missed by his grandchildren Benjamin (Olivia), Daniel, Leslie, Leah, great-grandchildren Amelia, Baron, Noah, and Colton. His memory will be cherished by his sister Dorothy (Darrell) Patton, brother-in-law Kevin G. Ryba (Sandy), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jules was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Deckert, and sister, Irene Speck. Together, they shared a bond that will endure through the passage of time.

A Celebration of Life service in honor of Jules will take place on September 10, 2024, at St. Michael Catholic Church 40501 Hayes Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan. The service will begin at 11:00 AM, allowing friends and family to come together to pay their respects.

Jules's departure has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Cure Alzheimer's fund in Jules honor.
