Kenneth Richard Muir

Celebrating the Life of Kenneth Richard Muir, age 72, of Harsens Island, passed away on March 20, 2026. Born on May 20, 1953, to Thomas and Dolores (Grzeskowiak) Muir, Ken lived a life defined by humor, simple pleasures, and an unwavering love for his family. Ken was a man who truly enjoyed making people smile. Whether he was out on the water fishing or cheering during a hockey game, his energy was infectious. In his later years, he found great peace on Harsens Island, where his favorite pastime was sitting in his recliner and watching the freighters glide down the river. He turned the sight into a beloved family game, always being the first to shout, “Freighter, saw it first!”He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 32 years, Judith A. Muir. His legacy of kindness and laughter lives on through his four children: Kellie Backer, Sean Backer, Katie Davis, and Julie Muir. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, all of whom will deeply miss his presence. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories during a memorial luncheon.
