Linda Anne Plouffe

December 28, 1957 — March 24, 2025

Clinton Township, Michigan

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Linda Plouffe on March 24, 2025. Linda passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 67 years old.

Linda was born on December 28, 1957 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan to the late Frank and Delores Ricevuto. Linda was the second eldest of six siblings.

She is survived by her two sons, Angelo Plouffe, and Vincent Plouffe; her partner John “Ziggy”; her sister Jean Orlando (Mark), her sister Diane Ricevuto (Sue), her sister Susan Nowakowski (Dan), her brother Sam Ricevuto (Michelle); her nephews Mark Orlando (Jennifer) and Joseph Doyle; her great nieces Sylvia and Bella; her aunt Phyllis Bates (late uncle Barky); her aunt and godmother Angie Genereux (late uncle Tom) and all her cousins and close friends. She was preceded in death by her brother Frankie Ricevuto; her grandfather, Sam Guarino Sr., and grandmother Genevieve Guarino; her grandfather Joseph Ricevuto, and grandmother Rose Browning; her Uncle Sam Guarino Jr.; and her Aunt Maryanne Syfert.

Linda grew up in a close-knit family, sharing a lifetime of memories, laughter, and strong family bonds that remained constant throughout the years. She cherished her relationships with family including her extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and co-workers. Her nurturing spirit also extended to her four-legged family members Nellie, Brandon, Bailey, and especially Saggy, her favorite and most faithful companion.

Linda’s greatest pride and joy were her two sons, Angelo and Vincent. Her love for them was immeasurable, and she poured her heart into raising them with compassion, strength, and unwavering support. A majority part of Linda’s life was spent traveling all over watching her sons play sports (baseball, football, basketball, and wrestling). This brought her the most joy.

Linda worked at McLaren for over 10 years and developed strong bonds with co-workers as she prepared for retirement.

Those who knew Linda will remember her for her kind heart, her quick wit, and her fierce loyalty to those she loved. She had a quiet strength, a warm smile, and a gentle way of making everyone around her feel at ease. Her presence brought comfort, and her absence leaves an irreplaceable void.

Linda’s memory will be lovingly carried on by her sons, siblings, extended family, friends, coworkers and all who were lucky enough to know her. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will live on in every story told, every laugh shared, and every quiet moment spent remembering the remarkable woman she was.

Her strong Catholic faith and love for the Lord prepared her for her final days. Rest in peace, Linda. You were deeply loved, and you will be forever missed.

A Catholic service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 at St. Huberts at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow the service at St. Huberts Banquet Hall, adjacent to the church.
