Margaret Ann Kehoe

December 21, 1941 — May 9, 2026

Macomb, Michigan

Margaret Ann Kehoe, a woman of profound warmth, dedication, and boundless love for her family, passed away peacefully surrounded by those she cherished most. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy defined by her 65 years of marriage to her beloved husband, Thomas Kehoe, and a life richly lived in service to her family and community.

Born to the late John and Florine Butterman, Margaret grew up with a deep respect for hard work and family tradition. For many years, she worked side-by-side with Thomas in the daily operations of J&J Sheet Metal, the family business originally founded by her parents. Her steady presence, sharp mind, and welcoming nature were foundational to the business’s success and made her a familiar, trusted face to all who walked through the doors.

Outside of her professional life, Margaret found immense joy in the simple pleasures of the world around her. She had a passion for history and discovery, spending countless hours searching for treasured antiques and uncovering the unique stories behind them. She was also an avid lover of nature, happiest when she was camping and fishing, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the outdoors and the laughter of family and close friends.

Margaret’s greatest masterpiece, however, was the large and vibrant family she built. She was the devoted mother of Robert (Monica) Kehoe and Michael Kehoe; and grandmother to Jeremy (Reva) Kehoe, Daniel (Jennifer) Kehoe. Her role as a matriarch expanded beautifully over the years, and she took immense pride in her great-grandchildren—Mia, Eli, Luke, Liam, and Logan—and found a special, renewed joy in the affection of her great-grandchildren, whose visits always brought the brightest smiles to her face.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, John and Florine Butterman, as well as her dear sister, Elaine Butterman. Her memory will be carried forward in the stories told around campfires, the antique treasures she collected, and the enduring love of the family she guided for over six decades.
