Margaret Lamilza

Margaret LaMilza, (nee: Guzzardo), age 94 years, passed away on August 4, 2022, in the care of her family. Margaret was born March 24, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, to Domenico and Philippina Guzzardo.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Joseph and her brothers Vito, Joseph, Ignatious, and Bartemeo. She is survived by her brothers Salvatore and Dominic Guzzardo along with her six children Salvatore (Debra), Dominic (Dianna), Christopher (Pamela), Stephen (Adele), Therese (David), and Bernadette (Sathish), plus 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many relatives, all of whom cherished having her in their lives.

Margaret was an accomplished seamstress, culinary expert, and homemaker who was dedicated to her family and her Catholic faith. She was an avid follower of the Detroit Pistons and watched many games with her husband Joe. Reading was a particular passion of hers that she used to further her education. With that knowledge, she was never afraid to try anything that improved her household, and, as a result, she accomplished many indoor and outdoor projects. Margaret will be missed by all.

A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022, at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 23401 Jefferson Avenue, in St. Clair Shores, MI 48080. Margaret's family will receive guests beginning at 9am until the time of the Memorial Mass at 10am.
