Marie Rae Harasymiw

Marie Rae Harasymiw (Hakkarinen), born on August 10, 1963 in Detroit Michigan, passed away peacefully during the early morning hours of August 22, 2024. Raised in Warren, Michigan, Marie spent four years in Seminole, Florida, before settling in Clinton Township, where she resided at the time of her passing.

Marie was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Nancy (Kitty) Hakkarinen and the loving wife of the late John Harasymiw. Marie was a devoted mother to Briana Susalla, Kyle (Samantha) Susalla, and William Harasymiw. She was the cherished grandmother to Ian Martinez, Isabella Martinez, and Amelia Susalla. She is survived by her brother, Mark (Sara) Hakkarinen, and will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, including Mike Schmidt, Amanda (Lunzie) Vance, Eric Schmidt, Cameron Slaughter, Angel Slaughter, Tyrese Vance, and Xavier Slaughter.

Marie had a deep love for spending time with her friends and family, creating cherished memories with her children and grandchildren. She found joy in going to the beach, shopping, and sharing laughter with those she loved. Marie took great pride in making her house a warm and welcoming home, and she balanced this with a passionate career as a property manager.

Her spirit and love will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
