Martin Richard Covyeau

Martin Richard Covyeau, passed peacefully on September 26, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. After so much pain and suffering, there is comfort in knowing he is finally at peace.

Marty was a master finish carpenter, and he leaves his legacy in so many homes. But more than that, he leaves a permanent imprint on our hearts.

He loved the lake and boating. Some of our happiest years were spent at the cottage on the Middle Channel on Harsens Island - the water was where he was most at ease.

If you knew Marty, you knew a friend. He was always friendly, always ready to help someone in need. He could talk to anyone and made friends wherever he went. We will miss his laughter so much - his humor was contagious, and he could lighten any room.

How he adored his granddaughters, Martie and Ellie. His face just lit up around them. We take comfort knowing they will know and remember him through the stories we will tell - stories of his kindness, his laughter, and how much he loved them.

Marty leaves behind, his wife Sherry; daughters Emilie Robarge and Amanda Anderson; granddaughters Martie Robarge and Ellie Anderson;  sons-in-law Niko Robarge and Andrew Anderson; his brother Earnie, his wife Katie and their daughter Brianna; his brother Greg; and so many other loved ones.

We will always carry you in our hearts forever, Marty. We love you, and we will miss you every day.
