Mary Grace Vitale

On November 13, 2024, Mary Grace Vitale, beloved sister, aunt and friend passed away at the age of 78 years young. 

Mary was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Dominican High School. She was a valued employee of Michigan Bell/AT&T as a switchboard operator and worked her way up to management. 

Mary always appreciated fine art. She was an amazing sculptor and enjoyed painting and jewelry making. She truly enjoyed animals and had a special love for cats. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was a beloved group member of a local Red Hat Society. 

Mary is survived by her sister, Laura DiMarco of Clinton Township, niece Marian Ballard (Rory) of Clinton Township, niece Susan Thompson (Ted) of Northville, nephew James (Kathleen) of Clarkston, nephew Jess (Annette) of Holly, niece Jamie of Burton, and nephew John of Algonac. Mary was a great aunt to nephews Michael (Shawna), Justin, Dominic, and Anthony. She was preceded in death by father Vincent and mother Grace, brother Dominic (Don), sister Josephine, and nephew Santo (Dianne). 

A celebration of life for Mary was held for family members on Sunday, November 24 at Aurelio’s in Clinton Township.
