Michael Alan Roy, born on October 26, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on July 21, 2025, in Troy, Michigan. A devoted husband and father, Michael was for his unwavering commitment to his family and his ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him.
Throughout life, Michael was a source of strength and support for his wife, Mary Roy, with whom he shared 32 wonderful years of marriage. His love for his children—Steven Wojciechowski & Michael Roy—and grandchildren, Kadence Wojciechowski, Jacob Wojciechowski, Lucas Roy, and BrayLynn Roy, was boundless. Michael dedicated himself to taking care of his family, always going above and beyond to ensure their happiness and well-being.
A man of many charms, Michael was remembered for his infectious smile and his super funny demeanor. He was the type of person who was willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, often putting others before himself. His presence brought warmth and light, and his family and friends will forever cherish the countless memories created during joyful moments together.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Mary Roy; his son, Steven Wojciechowski; his siblings, Rochelle (Steve) Igrisan, Cheryl (Mark) Boyd, and Martin Roy; and his adoring grandchildren, Kadence Wojciechowski, Jacob Wojciechowski, Lucas Roy, and BrayLynn Roy. He will also be missed dearly by his beloved dogs, Tripp and Sugar.
He now joins his deceased family members, including his parents, Bernard and Phyllis Roy; his brother, John Roy; and his son, Michael Roy, who will undoubtedly welcome him with open arms in the realm beyond.
