Patti fought to the very last breath, never giving up despite the challenges she faced. Her determination, strength, and deep love for her family were evident until the end. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find peace knowing she is finally free from what she called “the tether”—the oxygen hose she endured for so long—and the struggle to simply breathe.
She leaves behind her loving partner and soulmate, Nancy Sehi, who stood by her side through every step of this journey with unwavering strength and devotion. She was a proud and devoted mother to Kate Rogers, Brenna Hogarty, Maria Prasad, Amy Hogarty, and Bobby Hogarty. Patti was also a deeply cherished grandmother to Christopher, Keva, Shaan, Nora, and the newest joy in her life, baby Theodore.
She was a beautiful human being, a best friend, a fabulous aunt, a wonderful sister, and the kind of friend people aspire to be. Patti taught us how to love boldly, live authentically, and fight fiercely for the people and things that matter.
Patti was surrounded by love in her final days—visits from friends and family filled her hospital room with joy, laughter, and gratitude. She often referred to her loved ones as her “army,” and we were honored to stand with her through it all.
