Randie Lee Treas

February 19, 1945 — February 17, 2026

Warren, Michigan

Randie Lee Treas, 80, of Warren, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. She was a loving wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend who lived and loved with the perfect combination of affection and just the right amount of sass.

Randie was born on February 19, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, to Hugh and Virginia (Hurley) Mathis. She spent her youth palling around with cousins, her sister and lifelong best friend, Linda (“Loddy”) Baroli, and later, her future brother-in-law James (Jim) Baroli. Family was at the center of Randie’s early life, and those years in a close-knit family shaped her loyalty, sense of humor, and lifelong commitment to the people she cared about. She attended Center Line High School and graduated in 1963.

Randie worked for many years as an optician, but found the most meaning in her family-centered roles. She built strong, lasting bonds through decades of shared history, time spent at countless holiday gatherings, and sharing everyday moments like family meals and game nights. These relationships were a meaningful and constant part of her life.

She and her wife, Diane, shared 27 wonderful years together, filling their lives with travel, gardening, crafting, and caring for their home and pets. She was a proud and loving mother to Brooke and Jaime, and a steady source of encouragement and support as their families grew. Becoming a Nana to Andrew, Addilyn, and Oliver was one of Randie’s greatest joys, and she absolutely thrived in that role.

Randie had a natural artistic side and loved working with stained glass, enjoying both the creative process and the finished pieces. She also loved caring for her orchids and had a real knack for keeping them healthy and happy. She was rarely without an audiobook, and even with a large collection, she was always happy to listen to her favorites more than once.

Randie was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Virginia (Hurley) Mathis; her sister, Linda Baroli and other much-loved family members.

She is survived by her wife, Diane Jonas; her daughters, Brooke (Danny) Fayne and Jaime (Chris) Vieau; her grandchildren, Andrew Fayne, Addilyn Yakimovich, and Oliver Fayne and the many other relatives and loved ones who were such an important part of her life.

Randie’s warmth, wit, and unmistakable spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

There will be no formal visitation or funeral service. A celebration of life luncheon will be held at a later date.
