Robert Charles Lewis

It is with the heaviest of hearts that my family and I say goodbye to our patriarch, and a proud Marine Corp vet, Robert C. Lewis.

Bob passed peacefully with his wife, Marty, and sons, Bobby & Danny, by his side on July 23, 2024.

Bob was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 19, 1942.

His life passions were varied: hunting out west, offshore boat racing and fishing in the Florida Keys.

After Bob’s retirement from IBEW in 2004, he and his wife of 45 years spent their winters in the Florida Keys for the past 19 years. He also loved his family’s island home on Harsens Island since 1994. The best memories were made on Harsens Island – our summer home – with family and dear friends.

Bob leaves behind his soulmate, Marty; his two sons, Bobby (Kristen) Lewis and Danny McCormack. Bob was also the best Papa to his cherished grandkids, Teigan and Carter.

No service is planned at this time.

If you wish, Bob was a devoted member of The Jacques Cousteau Society to help raise awareness and preserve our precious oceans.
