Robert W. Valensky "Bob", died peacefully at the age of 73 surrounded by loved ones at his home in Shelby Township, Michigan, on the evening of October 13, 2021 after a long fought battle.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Valensky and Maureen Mewton. He is survived by his daughter Tracy Fulton and grandchildren, Eythan, Zander, and Eviana. Bob is also survived by siblings Michael (Barbara) Valensky, Teresa (Sanford) Barry, Dean (Kathie) Valensky, Debra (Andrew) Valensky, Cynthia (Nicholas) St John, and Laurie (Donald) Johnson, as well as many nieces, nephews, stepchildren and step-grandchildren.
Bob retired from Detroit Edison/DTE after over 40 years of "keeping the lights on." He proudly served his country in the US Air Force as an air traffic controller in Vietnam earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. In his later years, he enjoyed wood working and watching birds in his yard. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends, he was loved by many.
