Rosemary Parker, age 89, left this world for her heavenly home on February 18, 2026. Rosemary departed peacefully, surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank Parker.
Rosemary was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 28, 1936 to the late Vincent and Theresa Romel. She was predeceased by her older sister, Deloris (Emil) Nahernak and her younger brother Richard Romel. She grew up in Detroit where she met and married her husband, Frank, on April 12, 1957. They raised their family in Clinton Township Michigan before retiring to Frank's hometown of Perdido Beach, Alabama.
She is survived by her two children, Nancy (Dean) Ruby and Ken (Diana) Parker. She was greatly loved by her 4 grandchildren - Lindsay (Chris) Sparks, Joshua (Marsha) Parker, Jacky (Danny) Seal and Ben (Ashley) Parker. She was blessed with 11 great-grandchildren - Olivia, Annabelle, Brantley, Gavin, Braden, Sawyer, Logan, Cori, Charlotte, Vivian and Rowan. She was also blessed with extended family through marriages and relationships - Jennifer Gambone, Jason (Heather) Gambone, Scot (Stephanie) Murdoch, Jamie (Jason) George and 8 more great grandchildren - Solomon, Summer, Bryn, Emmy, Lennox, Harlow, Dylan and Drew. She is also survived by her sister in law, Jeanette Parker, her brother in law, Bill Parker, her late sister in law Anne (Louis) Bacsikin, and many nieces and nephews that loved her very much.
Rosemary worked in retail for most of her life. She loved to dance and recently attended two weddings, her great niece, Paige, and a year ago she attended the wedding of her great nephew Lucas. She was queen of the dance floor. She had a wonderful time. She always looked forward to going weekly to see her friends at the hair salon and playing bingo. She enjoyed the casinos too. She also enjoyed going to Boyne City, Michigan on the weekends to listen to her favorite bands during the "Strolling the Streets" event on Friday night.
Rosemary will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We love her very much!
Celebration of Life plans will be announced at a later date.
