Sandra Ruth Emerick

Sandy R. Emerick, of New Baltimore, Michigan, passed away on August 18, 2026, surrounded by family.

Sandy was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose greatest joy was being with the people she loved. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, spending time with family, and making memories with those closest to her. She cherished the friendships she made throughout her life, and the children of her dear friends held a very special place in her heart. Though she did not have children of her own, she loved and cared for those children as though they were part of her extended family.

Sandy also gave her time and energy to her community. For years, she proudly served on the Resident Council at Schoenherr Towers in Sterling Heights, where she made a difference in the lives of those around her. Sandy is survived by her father Gale Emerick, her brothers Richard Emerick and Tom Emerick and her sisters, Thelma "Cissy" Hernandez, Mary Emerick, Lisa Johnson, and Andrea (Jacob) Willard. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, whom she loved dearly and cherished being a part of their lives. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Thelma Emerick and her brother, Joe Emerick. Furthermore, she is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Sandy will be deeply missed by her family, her many cherished friends, and all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched, the friendships she treasured, the memories she created, and the love she shared with so many.

Rest peacefully, Sandy. You will be loved and missed forever.
