Macomb, Michigan

Stanley Allan Jasina died after a short illness on July 22, 2026. Stan was born August 28, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan where he spent his childhood in Poletown East before moving to St Clair Shores. Stan married the love of his life, Sharon Jasina, on August 12, 1967 and they had a loving partnership for 59 years.

Stan was a friendly, caring man with a strong drive and penchant for helping others. This led him to a 40 year career in teaching and counseling at L’Anse Creuse Public Schools. Stan had a positive impact on countless lives and connected with strangers wherever he went. He could start a genuine conversation with anyone at any time and was always cracking jokes and puns. Stan was a family man who was highly present in not only the lives of his children, but those of his grandchildren, friends and in-laws. He and Sharon shared many fun adventures with their children and grandchildren including hiking, kayaking, traveling, visiting museums, sports events, cider mills and more. He was a renaissance man who's many interests included a love of history, nature and a never-ending desire to learn and share his knowledge, all of which he passed on to his family.

Stan is survived by his wife Sharon, his children, Michele (Ken) Dubois, Jeff (Vicki) Jasina, Todd(Kathy) Jasina, six grandchildren, his sister Connie(Vince) Salmon, many in-laws, nieces and nephews as well as his best friend Gerhard Rauch.

His family will forever treasure all the fond memories spent outdoors with him, or at the kitchen table cracking jokes over bagels, coffee and OJ.
